Eighty Deer Culled At Cascades Golf Course

January 14, 2009

The record cold and deep snow that Al Gore’s global warming has dumped on Michigan has left large starving deer herds across the state. To reduce the herds in a humane fashion, the City of Jackson, Michigan hired sharpshooters to reduce the herds at the Cascades Golf Course and at Ella Sharp Park, which also has a course. Both are nice tracks, and the Cascades is a favorite to which I return again and again.

The sharpshooters have killed eighty deer this winter. The nearly 4,000 pounds of venison were donated to a local food pantry.
