Drunken Golf Cart Driving

A California woman has been charged with DUI after she crashed her golf cart into the back of a Subaru. The passenger was thrown through the window of the cart. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and causing bodily injury - a felony - and taken to Wayne Brown Correctional Facility. She was released on $25,000 bail early Friday morning.
I wonder if they had problems with drunken horse riding in the 1800s?

Golf carts are motor vehicles, too. So are boats, and if you live near water, you see plenty of drunk boaters. :-(
