Daly’s Australian PGA Suspension Confirmed
Australian PGA Officials have confirmed that John Daly has been fined and suspended for his unbecoming display at the Australian Open.
Is there anyone left in this guy’s corner?
There is one thing that it confirms for me, though: that professional golf suffers from a dearth of personable, crowd pleasing personalities. Daly keeps getting invited because—for all his faults - he’s personable (its certainly not for his golf). If there are former major champions out there who have fallen on hard times (Weir, Campbell, Curtis, et. al) they could have a very long career on sponsors exemptions if they developed endearing personalities.
Maybe there’s a new PGA Tour job in that: “Personality Coach”
