Daly Reaches 650 yd Par 5 In 2

August 14, 2005

In case you missed it, John Daly repeated his feat of reaching the Par 5 17th at Baltusrol in two.

He first reached it at the 1993 US Open, when it was a mere 630 yards. He used a driver and a one iron.

Saturday, during the the third round of the 1995 PGA Championship, Daly reached the now-650 yard Par 5 using a driver and three iron.

This is exhibit A for how much technology has changed the game in the last ten years.
