Cobra Transition Hybrid Iron Set

Cobra Trans S Men’s Hybrid-Iron Set
The Cobra Transision S set offers three different kinds of clubs for an easy-to-hit set. The three through five irons are utility clubs, with a wide sole and low crown. The six and seven irons are a hollow, back-weighted iron—smaller than the utilities, but larger than even a typical game improvement iron. Finally, the eight through the wedges are a widesole cavity back.
This kind of set makes sense because of the changes that manufacturers have made to clubs over the years. In an effort to make their clubs hit further, manufacturers adjusted the lofts and setup of their clubs. Today’s four iron is yesterday’s three—or even two iron—in terms of loft and length. That way, manufacturers can claim that their clubs hit the ball ten yards further; the four iron hits the ball as far as a three iron because it is a three iron. It’s just been rebranded.
So it’s no wonder if today’s golfers may have trouble hitting a five iron. And it’s no shame. The five is actually a four (or maybe a three).
That’s why I really think that these hybrid sets are the wave of the future. Even the pros are beginning to mix them into their sets.

I recently bought the Callaway X-20s, but had to custom make a set down to 6-P, as Callway does offer a 5-P + S set, but since I already have the 3-5 in hybrids, I dont’ need a 5, and I love my Callaway forged 56-S, so I don’t need a new Sand wedge either. (Plus, even though I like graphite for the irons, the wedges I like to have steel.)
The only issue I have with the way my set is, is that when I have to hit out of the trees and want to punch it low, I don’t like using anything other than irons, and having a 6 be the longest iron in the bag means that I have to hit it so far back in the stance to keep the trajectory low. I have started punching with my 3-wood and just swinging very easy—but there was a time with my old 3 iron or 2 iron that I could punch out much more efficiently and still get quite a bit of distance toward the green.
