Cobra S9-1 F Speed Driver
Cobra’s 2009 Driver offering is the S9-1, which boasts the company’s “Hotter 9 Points” technology for increasing ball speed across the entire club face. And rather than offering yet another strange looking driver, Cobra has worked on an “internal crown rib geometry” to produce improved sound and feel. Cobra says that the club is for players with a swing speed of 87 - 108. But that seems to me like a very large variation.

Since I’ve been looking at new drivers lately, I can tell you that almost all of them - if they list a “best” swing speed or ball speed for a particular driver - have a very wide range. I assume it is to include as many people as possible to get them to try it out. From my standpoint, though, it is all about the shaft, not the head. Get fitted for the right shaft and you can put most heads on it and do just fine.

I bought the Cobra S9-1 driver 10.5 deg Regular graphite driver a month ago. This is a fantastic driver! I have owned them all, Titleist 907D1, Callaway FT-i & X Steel, Taylormade Burner 460, and Cleveland HiBore etc.
This CObra driver is longer, and keeps ball in fairway. What more can one want? I make a slight inside out swing and the ball flies off with a slight draw. Great swingweight feel as I can feel the head weight during swing yet not overly heavy to cause loss of swing speed.
If you can afford it, buy it!
