CLEVELAND HB3 Iron Set 3-PW with Steel Shafts
The Cleveland HB3 Irons are the company’s third generation in the HiBore line. A full-hybrid iron set, they feature a scoop back crown design that is supposed to let the designers redistribute weight to optimal positions, and to offer a wider sole. The clubs also feature the use of Cleveland’s new Action Ultralite graphite shafts, which are 15 grams lighter than with previous models. The lighter weight is supposed to let you swing faster for more distance.
As I said before: Lightweight and fast are this year’s buzzwords, just as movable weights was over the past couple of years.

Just got a set a week ago and after playing 3 rounds of 18, I am very impressed with the HB3’s.
Over 4 decades of golfing I have owned and played every major brand of irons. The HB3’s are the easiest to hit straight, bar none! I am a senior golfer and have the stock graphite shafted regular flex irons. It is almost impossible to hit a fat shot or a slice with these. This shots do not lose much distance because of weighting at bottom of club. I am a natural fader of the ball, and now I am learning to aim for the pin instead of left of pin!
The weight distribution between shaft+grip and the club head is excellent. I can feel the club head throughout the back swing and down swing.
These irons are not long, but I will take straight over long. The Hybrid like shape of head exudes confidence to me to take a full swing and not miss the ball.
Best of all, you can order a partial set, customized with Lie angle, length, grip, shaft etc from Cleveland factory via authorized retailer. There is no additional cost for this if you choose the stock shaft & grip.
