Chamblee Calls Tiger An “Old Man”
I noticed in the August 2011 edition of Golf Magazine a quote from Brandel Chamblee about Tiger Woods:
“It’s really sad to see what’s going on with Tiger Woods on the range. This phenomenal athlete is now kind of an old man.”
Add Chamblee to the list of “professional golf observers” who are behind the GolfBlogger. I’ve been noting for a couple of years that Tiger is much older than his age would indicate. In golf years, he is an old man—by my count, at least six years older than Jack Nicklaus was at the same time. Tiger has been playing high level golf since he was six. He won a Junior World Golf Championship at age 8. Nicklaus, on the other hand, has said that he didn’t play a full round of golf until he was thirteen. That makes Woods 42 in golf years, not the soon to be 36 the calendar would indicate.
Golf Channel should hire me.

Yep. You have been making the case in the amount of play and competitions in him- I have been saying similar based on the amount of stress he has put his body through in this workout regimens and the corresponding injuries.
Do you think Tiger would today be where old Tom Watson is in the Open at +2 - even if the knee and ankle weren’t bad?
