Callaway Diablo Edge Driver On Sale
GolfSmith has the Diablo Edge Driver—normally $299—on sale for $149. They’re surely clearing the way for this year’s drivers, but last year’s can’t be all that bad, right? It’s a modular 4-pieced fused titanium head that’s been hit with a chemical reduction process to remove unwanted material from the faceplate. The face is thicker at the edges than at the center, allowing more rebound for greater ball distance. A new aerodynamic design offers 8% less drag than the previous Big Bertha Diablo for more swing speed. The standard model features Callaway s shorter, low-profile S2H2 hosel which allows for additional weight relocation for enhanced stability. I bought this driver near the end of last year when they put it on sale for $199. Let me tell you, I LOVE IT! I can hit this one much straighter and a bit longer than with my TM Burner ‘07 driver. And I love the more muted sound of the ball coming off this driver than off others. Personal preference, I know, but gives me a better feel.
And now, for $149? Can’t beat that.
