Buick Open To Move To West Virginia?

July 30, 2009

Golf Week is reporting that with the demise of the Buck Open, the legendary Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia may be added to the PGA Tour event roster. The new owner, coal baron Jim Justice apparently is willing to put up the $5 million to make it a regular event.

As a graduate of West Virginia University with family ties in the Mountain State, I think it’s nice. But Michigan sure is going to miss the Buick Open.
