BAG BOY Revolver Pro Cart Bag

BAG BOY Revolver Pro Cart Bag

I (deliberately) left a spare set of clubs and my cart bag back east at my mother’s place this summer, and now find myself a bag short. I’ve still got a Mizuno carry bag, and the Sun Mountain Bag that was designed for my Speed Cart. But I don’t have one that sits nicely on the back of the power cart. And since I know of at least two outings I’ve got to play in this fall, I’m going to need a new cart bag.

Bag Boy’s Revolver cart bag has caught my eye. I like the idea of a revolving top that’ll let me bring the clubs I need to the fore. And its got enough pockets to keep anything I might need.

But I’m wondering about durability. I’ve never owned a Bag Boy bag, but have not been terribly impressed with the carts I’ve seen. Anyone have any experience with these bags? I’m particularly interested in how that rotating top works over the long haul.

  • I have one and am happy.  I will post in the forum a review later.  I started here, but it got really long.

Bought the Pro model, and got it off ebay for a significant discount.

  • “Revolving top”? What’s that?

  • Actually, the revolving top is just what you see revolving, but all the clubs are inside a cylinder which can turn inside the bag.  It is the lazy susan of golf clubs.

  • I have the BagBoy ClipLok cart bag, which is one step shy of the revolver - meaning it has the “clips” to hold your clubs still, but it doesn’t rotate.

It’s been pretty durable over the last year, although the clips are molded foam rubber so they start to stretch and let go, especially on clubs I pull out of the bag often (say a wedge versus a fairway wood).  Otherwise, no issue, it holds all my stuff comfortably, but I wouldn’t want to carry it much further than the parking lot to the pro shop.
