An interesting golf business story: Adidas is selling its Greg Norman line back to Norman and to MacGregor golf. Adidas, which is the owner of TaylorMade said that the Norman collection had a limited scope:

“Greg Norman is a brand, which has clearly performed well over the last several years. However, it is not core in the scope of our global golf strategy,” said Adidas Chief Executive Herbert Hainer.

Translated: If Norman is going to play MacGregor clubs, we don’t want any part of him.

Apparently the Greg Norman Stores (there are Greg Norman Stores?!) will be rebranded as TaylorMade-Adidas stores.
