Adidas-Salomon Buys Reebok

TaylorMade Golf owner Adidas-Salomon has bought shoemaker Reebok for $3.8 billion in an apparent bid to challenge Nike for sporting goods dominance. In addition to the athletic shoes, the buy brings Rockport shoes and the Greg Norman golf clothing line to Adidas-Salomon.
I’ve been wearing Reeboks and Rockports for years, but had no idea they had the same parent company.
Mrs. Golf Blogger—the ski patroller—thinks its amusing that Salomon also makes golf equipment.
