Off To The PGA Championship!
I’m going to the PGA Championship for the next two days. Oakland Hills is about 45 minutes drive from GolfBlogger World Headquarters, so I can’t miss the opportunity.
Photos and commentary to come.
PowerPlay Select 5000 Maraging Utility Iron
Power Play Select 5000 Maraging Utility Iron
The Power Play Select 5000 Utility Club is designed to replace the hard-to-hit 2 through 5 irons. Unlike fairway woods and many hybrids, it has a compact head that allows you to use it from more lies. Hireo says that its exclusive “Ball Bearing Insert” helps distribute weight and dampen shock for a crisp, pure feel. The face includes a maraging insert, creating one of the hardest and hottest surfaces available.
The best part is that you can get this club for as little as $40.
Golf Ball Retriever
If you ask me, golf ball retrievers should be banned from the course. While I sympathize with people who don’t want to lose a three or four dollar ball in a water hazard, there are just too many old retired guys wasting time retrieving ball after ball from the drink.
Tour Edge Signs LPGA Pro
Tour Edge golf has signed LPGA Pro Stacy Prammanasudh as the first of their pro staff.
I normally wouldn’t comment on such things, but Tour Edge has over the years has been a bit of an iconoclast in that they made a point of NOT signing pros. Their literature in the past has pointed out that by NOT paying the pros to play their clubs, Tour Edge could pass the savings onto its customers.
I guess that strategy wasn’t working.
