Pavin To Announce Ryder Cup Picks At 10:30

September 7, 2010

Corey Pavin will announce his four Captain’s picks for the Ryder Cup at 10:30 today. Four years ago, Paul Azinger let his players pick their four Captain’s Choice teammates. I get the feeling that’s not going to be Pavin’s style.

I’m really interested to see how it turns out. Given his near-record-setting performance at the Deutschebank, you would think that Charley Hoffman would be a strong contender. Woods also made a statement with his finish at 11.

  • I think Rickie Fowler deserved that last spot.  He has played extremely well ALL season, not just in the FedEx Cup playoffs.

Nonetheless, I think the U.S. is going to lose this year.  Despite both squads having a ton of Ryder Cup rookies, the European team seems stronger and is playing at home.

At least there won’t be any classless Boo Weekley sightings with immature antics this year.

  • Still think Fred should have been picked.
