4 out of 5 stars Great replacement for plastic bottles   May 29, 2008
I used to be a major culprit of buying cases of bottled water. We do recycle but with the amount of energy it takes to make all those bottles and the reported health risks with reusing them it was time to find an alternate solution. As a family, we drink a lot of water and between hiking, biking and my 5 hour-a-day commute we need water to mobile. The Sigg bottles are extremely light-weight and easy to clean (I bought the brush too). You can find a variety of different styles to suit everyone in the family and the Classic top has a loop so you can clip it to your backpack or bike. One note: be careful if you have a dark color bottle and you leave it in the car in the sun, it will heat up fast.

4 out of 5 stars good looking, healthy, eco friendly   May 27, 2008
As we already know how much energy is used to make the plastic bottles we thow away after each use, I bought some Nalgene & Sigg bottles. Sigg gives you the alternative to have a more fun and good looking bottle, everyone in our family has their own design. As the Green Guide says, "Aluminum bottles with an enamel inner coating are also a healthy alternative, though aluminum requires more energy to produce and has greater environmental impact than stainless steel. The Swiss Sigg bottle is made from extruded aluminum and coated on the inside with a taste-inert, food-compatible stove enamel". Unfortunately there is no simple solution, but I would recommend these (although they get dented when dropped, use them with care!)

5 out of 5 stars Best Water Bottle   May 25, 2008
I love this water bottle. It keeps my water cold. Water doesn't taste funny. I have no problem with the sport top, even when I work out.

5 out of 5 stars Stainless Water Bottles   May 23, 2008
Love these. I bought one for each of us. The water tastes fine. Easy to clean, hot water, a little soap, shake. Hard to put ice in. One cube at a time. I love the fact these are not plastic. Cool designs.

5 out of 5 stars Sport top vs. loop top   May 22, 2008

Having used both tops, I think the sport top is the way to go. Why? It's more flexible. Use your thumb to press down on the release to allow sucking the drink from the bottle. That allows one-handed drinking from, say, a bike. Or, if you need to guzzle a lot of water, uncrew the sport top as you would with the loop top. With the sport top, it's easier to screw and unscrew because there's more for your hand to work with, IMO. Hope that helps.
