Who are these people with the 5-star reviews. Are they insane?? I received this cheapo chin-up bar today and it's already wrapped up to go back for a refund.
When the bar is mounted you can, with just a bit of effort, move the bar OUT OF ITS END SUPPORT, at which point you'll be crashing to the ground. This is a dangerously designed product that exudes cheapness. Everlast should be ashamed to slap their name on this product.
Save yourself from extreme injury or death and avoid this product!!

Caution! This chinning bar requires you to open 6 holes on the door frame for the 6 screws. Hence it is not portable by any means. Also it expands up to a point that is still not fixed hard against the frame; after this point the bar rotates without expanding! Big dissapointment from Everlast.

This chin-up bar works great. It only took a few minutes to install and it looks good. I weigh about 230 and it supports my weight without any problems. Great product for a great price!
Works well March 11, 2007
This chin up bar works well. I'm 160lbs and it holds me with ease. Great addition to any other home gym equipment, or if your on the road and need to work out in your hotel room or whatnot.
Pull-up bar January 19, 2007
I purchased this bar for my kids few months ago. It was easy to assemble and I fixed that on my porch door. My kids like the pull-up bar so much that I ended up buying another one and I fixed that in the basement. I am highly impressed with the strength of the product. Highly recommended.
