 Very helpful first golf book August 29, 2007
a handy little book with just the right approach for me, a woman without a lot of sports experience who has decided to take up what is probably one of the most challenging sports - really gave me the 'quick and dirty' on what to look for in equipment, the basic rules, the layout of a hole - and did it all with a sense of humor - highly recommend

Got this as a gift-it was interesting--but as I started with lessons it became "MY BIBLE "-it cuts to the chase and simplifies the facts-what this book tells you certainly does help you to feel more informed on what you Need to know and what other golfers EXPECT you to know---I walk with more confidence about the course even though my striking of the ball is sometimes lacking--but with having this confidence I know my ball strokes will become better and better!!!!-hope to be a good golfer!!!!!

This is the perfect book for my wife who is just about to start playing golf. It will help anyone get over the intimidation factor that all golfers have felt. A very pleasant read and most informative.
