4 out of 5 stars Neat little item, I would skip the power dock though.   December 21, 2007

The powerball itself is pretty neat to play with and only took me about five mintues to get going. I can see though how one could be come frustrated if they don't pick up on the motion to keep it going right away. The string worked just as well as the docking station does and if I was ordering again (which I may do as it does make for an interesting gift) I would probaly go for just the ball as I don't think the docking station is that great a benefit and makes the package cost as much as two balls. I took off the one star for what the dock costs vs. what I think it was worth. If I had paid for just the ball I would probably give it five.

Ball is Ok more of a novelty that a real exercise. The powerdock base is useless to start the ball up. Don't lose the string to start the ball moving or the ball is just going to be a paperweight.

I got this product for my mother since she had Carpal Tunnel surgery. When we saw the video recorded in the mini CD, just decided to return it. The excercises can be done with any ball the sime size.

This is a toy and it hardly works to boot. I found this product while searching Amazon for wrist supports due to wrist pain I was having. This was one of the featured recommended products. I recommend not purchasing this if you want it to strengthen wrist or for physical therapy. It is a toy and nothing more. The base (which adds $25 to the price!) does not set the inner ball spinning 8 out of 10 times. 80% of the time it swivels inside the casing and does not build up the torque you need to make the thing useful. You can get better torque just using the string that it comes with. Save $25 and don't get the base! And only purchase it if you want a toy, not a physical therapy devise.

5 out of 5 stars I love this thing.   March 11, 2007

I love this thing, but mine came with a totally scratched mini CD. Neither the manufacturer or Sharper Image wrote me back.
