Works like they claim October 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ordered product because of 2 next-door neighbor dogs. One dog is an extremely annoying barker with very deep, loud bark. Barked at me every time I went out in my yard. Product worked great on him - used twice while telling him "hush" and he behaves much better now. Doesn't seem to affect the other dog much, but he wasn't really the problem. Also used it on a nearby neighborhood dog who is unfenced and charges people when they use public sidewalk in front of his home. He didn't act like it bothered him, but he didn't come any closer when I used it. Well worth the money!
Not working well October 22, 2008 Power is so weak that the high frequency sound cannot be heard by a dog 15 feet away.
Got a response and thats all October 21, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is advertised mostly as a dog repeller or a bark stopper. I bought this in hopes of quieting my neighbor's loud large dog. The first time I tried it the dog responded to it, he quieted down, but only for a few seconds. I thought it would work with a few times of training. So I decided to try and train the dog by using the device every time he was barking. After almost a month of trying this, my report is that the device has failed. The dog will still bark non stop when it wants to even if it hears the device going off. The only true response I got was when he was about two feet away from me, but he just moved over to the other side of the yard and kept barking. I would not recommend this device for anyone that has the same problem, but it might be good for people trying to train their dogs.
I LOVE this product!!! October 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I first heard about the Dazer from a friend who got one and recommended it to me as a way of deterring nuisance-dog barking. A neighbor has three mutts that annoyingly yap for long periods throughout the day, without being stopped or disciplined by their owner... so I bought the Dazer in a near-desperate attempt to remedy the situation before having to take more drastic action like reporting the neighbor to the local Humane Society.
I have to say, I was initially skeptical that it would do the trick but from the first time I used it, I noticed that the dogs stopped their barking almost immediately. I've used the Dazer consistently for almost two weeks, and knock on wood, I've noticed a big change in the amount of barking that comes from next door - the dogs actually don't yap like how they used to! Sure, they still bark on occasion... but definitely not for long periods like before. THANK YOU very much to whoever invented this great product - you're a God-send.
Good for jogging October 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've used this product for a number of years while jogging. It always makes the dogs (who are lunging at me because their owner doesn't have them under control :( ) hesitate and turn back to look at their owner.
If dogs are on their own then it makes them stop in their tracks while you jog on around them (I always cross the street).
So it mostly gives you a chance to get away and not have the situation escalate. Since I'm encountering these dogs infrequently (they have to be out and about while I'm jogging so I seldom see the same dog twice), they don't seem to have grown immune from it.
