5 out of 5 stars Strong and just the right size   November 10, 2006
This little guy fits perfectly on to my laptop bag without creating too much bulk. I've used it a few times and had no problem opening or closing it. I have yet to encounter any excessive wind conditions but I'm confident it will hold up better than any of those cheap folding umbrellas purchased off the street. I bought two of these. One was for my wife and she's just as satisfied as I am.

5 out of 5 stars It holds up!   July 14, 2006

I got this umbrella so that I could have a small umbrella to carry about for the spotty rain we have (here in S.F.) during our rainy season. The biggest concern I had was the gusty wind that accompanies our rain and whether or not my umbrella would be able to stand it (here most everyone carries around some sort of coverage and most can't stand up to our wind). This umbrella did, it never came close to turning inside out and it never failed to open or otherwise perform. I recommend it highly.

5 out of 5 stars commuter's dream   October 9, 2005

it's nice and light and really does hold up well in the wind. i take the train, so i end up walking around the city quite a bit and have been very impressed with this umbrella. i'm thinking about buying more for gifts for others at work. it's the only umbrella you'll need. my only complaint is that a few of the wires inside have sharp edges that are not perfectly protected. don't put your hand in there and you'll be fine. it opens automatically and protects you very well. it's also compact, so it fits nicely in my backpack.

3 out of 5 stars It's ok but could be better.   July 30, 2004
First: I've probably actually used it maybe 10 times. It usually just gets carried back and forth between my car and office.

Pro: It's really good in wind and rain just like they say.

Con: On mine, the handle is wood and the paint has come off on the edges and doesn't look too nice. Also two rivets in the canopy frame have fallen out and are now being held together by paperclips, which actually works fine but is pretty annoying. When the second came out the frame poked a small hole in the fabric. When I emailed them about it I found out that to use their lifetime warranty you have to pay to ship it to them (understandable) but also send them $10 (not acceptable). So now they have an unhappy customer who doesn't mind telling about it.
