 Nice, but a little too small and lacking in features July 19, 2008

The size of this bag is 10" x 11". It zips across the top. It has one zip pocket and one slip pocket on one side of the exterior, and two very small slip pockets on the inside. The exterior slip pocket is right behind the zip pocket, so one can hide an mp3 player in the zip pocket, and thread the headphone cord through a concealed button hole through the slip pocket. This bag doesn't have an interior zip pocket.
If you're accustomed to carrying very much, you won't be able to do that with this bag. I can fit one fairly large paddle-style hairbrush, one small wallet, one eyeglass case, and very little else in the main body of the bag. The 11" measurement is the height of this bag. The 10" width really hampers its usefulness. It also would be greatly improved just by adding a piece of fabric to form a base (which most purses have) so the bag could hold more. The materials seem to be of very good quality, and it is machine-washable, which is a plus. Another plus is the very long, adjustable crossbody strap - excellent for shopping trips and sightseeing, because it frees your hands and makes the bag somewhat more thief-resistant than a regular bag. Just don't expect to carry much in this bag.
The "Botanica" print bag I bought was made in USA, but another one I bought as a gift in the "Windsor Navy" pattern, was made in China.
