Good, but Expensive May 2, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This official Nintendo Wii Wheel is the one that comes with Mario Kart. My brothers and I bought the actual Mario Kart Wii game, but wanted more wheels, so we bought them. This wheel is way better than the other wheels that other companies make. The Wii Remote fits very easily in the wheel and is very easy to take out. You can also point with the wheel attached. I like how the B button is layed out on the wheel. But this is just a piece of plastic, so it even shouldn't be $9.99. $15 is way over priced. I think it should be around $3 to $5.

We got this for an extra for Mario Kart Wii. It seems to work pretty well. I have an easier time playing the game with the wheel. It's pretty basic, no parts to break really, so it's pretty durable.

Do yourself a favor, get this Nintendo Wii Wheel. why? Once you put in the Wii controller in it there is a hole on the side to point your cusor to the Wii menu. A must Have! Forget the the third party wheel, because they did not think of this feature.

Mario Kart Wii is great. The wheel is makes it a little easier to balance a wii-mote in your lap and all but i wouldn't pay extra for it. Still i do use the one that came with 'Kart.
Do not get the wheel - get the nunchuk April 30, 2008 10 out of 17 found this review helpful
I LOVE the Mariokart Wii game. I bought a wheel and a remote + nunchuk combination to try which one worked better. To give you background, I did play Mariokart using N64 controllers in the past, but I'm not an avid gamer. My other friend plays videogames occasionally. We both agreed that the wheel was really difficult to handle with turns, and for some reason it wouldn't flip even when I tried. It works, but if you want really tight control over courses, if you want to beat the computer characters and unlock new courses, the wheel probably won't be the best accessory. On the other hand, the remote + nunchuk combination was much easier to play with, your arms are not constantly in motion and you can take a much more relaxed stance on the couch. It just felt a lot more natural to me.
