5 out of 5 stars so simple, so perfect, so cheap!!   October 28, 2008
the water boils super fast and it makes good coffee. the filter is already inside so you don't even have to buy any! it comes with the tumbler - which sadly doesn't have a close-able seal. (there is an opening, but you can't slide it shut) it's small and it's perfect for people who drink a cup or two a day. easy to clean!

3 out of 5 stars Gone through too many   October 25, 2008
Well when it worked it was great... I lived alone and only drank one cup a day at home so it was very convenient. However about 3 weeks after getting it the darn thing died on me. I called the black and decker number and they sent me a replacement. About a month later the second one died, and I called them again, and another replacement was sent. When the third one died I bought another coffee maker.
When it did work it was fantastic but it is very unreliable. I am not sure if they improved on the design since all that happened about 5 years ago but it is the same model number.

3 out of 5 stars OK but makes weak coffee   October 22, 2008
I like it because it's very convenient and no pot to clean. However, the coffee it makes is weak and not hot enough. I never have problems with grounds getting into my coffee. Perhaps I use paper coffee filter instead of the permanent filter that comes with it. Overall, it's a good machine if you're not too demanding.

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I needed   October 21, 2008
This make a perfect cup every time, not messy, easy, and some say not hot? I beg to differ, its very hot !! You won't be sorry about this purchase if you are looking to make a cup of coffee quick and without brewing an entire pot.

5 out of 5 stars Works as advertised.   October 11, 2008
I've been using mine daily for about a month now. Works flawlessly. It took a couple of tries to figure out the right amount of coffee to add to suit my taste, but after that it's been simple. Add the coffee, fill the mug to within a half-inch of the rim, and pour that into the coffee maker. Then I set the open mug in place and go to bed. In the morning, just before I get ready to leave the house, I turn it on. Less than 2 minutes later the coffee is done. I put the lid on and go. My only nitpick is with the handle on the mug. It's really not needed and makes it a bit of a pain to use both cupholders in the center console of my car. But that is indeed a minor issue. Otherwise I'm very pleased with this coffee maker.
