3 out of 5 stars Course Management Tool   August 19, 2008
GolfLogix GPS by GARMIN (2007 Model)
Good for determining distance to front and back of greens; and fairway hazards. Not always accurate to center of green. Battery replacement needed after 3 rounds. However, this is a necessary component for attacking greens and playing fairways. Reasonable price for a golf GPS system.

3 out of 5 stars Nice for the price   August 12, 2008
This is not as good as your SG4 skycaddie, by a bit. In a side by side comparison, go for the Skycaddie, however, for the price, it definitely is a good buy. It lacks the intelligreen technology that is helpful with the skycaddie, and hazards do not display very well. However, for a basic distance, this GPS works very well. I found it to be very accurate on the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th rounds...not so much so on the 1st round though. I do recommend this product, but would definitely go with the Skycaddie next time around.

4 out of 5 stars Good GPS For the price   August 11, 2008
I recently purchased this GPS unit & am very pleased with it. I bought the 2007 model in order to save a few bucks, not knowing if I would like it or not. I believe that the latest model has a couple features that this one doesn't. After using mine I would now opt for the newer model even though it cost about $90.00 more. If you buy one be sure & buy rechargeable batteries otherwise you will spend a fortune on regular batteries.
One of the courses I play regularly was not in the data base. I asked for a mapping & they had it done in just a couple of days.
I would recommend this unit.

5 out of 5 stars Garmin Golf Course GPS   August 9, 2008
Great accurate GPS. It has really helped me manage my golf game.

Thanks Garmin

3 out of 5 stars Good, but not Perfect!   August 6, 2008
The Golflogix GPS by Garmin 2007 model is a good product; however, there are issues such as: it goes through batteries like wild fire. Maybe 3 rounds on a pair of batteries, sometimes only 2 rounds. Rechargeable batteries a very good idea. Another issue is the time it takes to settle on a distance for your shot. The unit takes too much time to indicate the distance, meanwhile the rest of your group is waiting for you to take your shot--not really a time-saver. Also, my friend, standing next to me will have a markedly different distance on his Golflogix than I do--quite puzzling.
