I golf Neo July 22, 2008 I got a I golf Neo gps rangefinder for fathers day. I find it easy to use and to be very accurate. It is easy to download courses for the internet and to transfer to the unit. Visibility on course very good. For the price I wouldn't have anything else.

I cannot comment on the actual GPS, but I did discover that IGOLF did not have the GPS data for many of the smaller courses I play. My advice is to review the listing of courses in your area at the IGOLF website before making this purchase.

I purchased my iGolf neo a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with it. The size is small enough to fit in your pocket and not know it is there. I recommend NOT using the belt clip because the device can easily fall out of the holder. The accuracy is the same as the larger iGolf units and the battery life is much better. I played over 54 holes on a single charge. This device is not as fancy as some units but you don't have to pay an annual subscription either. You pay once and download your 100 courses and once you have them, they are yours forever. The unit can store 10 courses in it's internal memory. The rest I keep on a memory stick and upload new courses to the device when I need them. You can map your own courses if you like or add hazards to the hole. I highly recommend this unit and think it is a great buy for less than $150.
iGolf Neo - Get one - NOW! July 17, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Add me to the list or 5 STAR reviewers. This little dude is great. I did not buy a course - simply mapped the one I play regularly. Mapped the course and many additional points in a little over an hour. It's so simple. The distances are accurate and almost immediate - no waiting. The distance feature is fun and allows you to calibrate your club distance. I have played 3 rounds so far and will play the fourth tomorrow. Battery shows 45% remaining. I'll charge it after my 4th round. It has every feature that I need and I can see no need for a more expensive model. I carry it in a cell phone holster on my belt - simply get it out, one glance, and fire away. LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
The missing link if you're trying to lower your scores July 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just completed my first round with my new igolf neo and I can't begin to explain how satisfied I am with my purchase. for those who are not looking for all the bells and whistles of the new skycaddie, this is the golf gps for you.
I typically shoot in the mid-high 70's. I was planning on investing in a new driver but decided to get one of these instead. I think this useful gadget will do much more to help me get over the hump to drop my handicap to the low single digits
PROS -small enough to keep in your pocket. -long battery life -I love the shot distance feature -one time $35 fee to download 100 courses (no monthly charges). -accurate! -much better build quality than i expected -plot custom points on the fly -pre mapped hazards already built into most most courses -easy to set up and download...even with vista!
CONS: -the belt clip is garbage -the unit can be slippery (try not to drop it...use two hands) -can take up to 10-15 minutes to obtain gps signal (turn it on as soon as you get to the course)
I managed to save 3-4 strokes today hitting blind shots relying only on the yardage readings on my neo and the pin placements on my scorecard. Plus now that I dont have to pace out my yardage from the sprinkler heads, play seems to go much smoother and I have one less thing to distract me from making a smooth, solid stroke as I approach my ball.
