Hollywood 3 bike rack May 11, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I thought this product fairly well designed and constructed. Easy to use out of the box. As a trunk rack, I expected some light scratching to the trunk surfaces and that is evident after first ride. Do not use this except on a car whose finish doesn't matter. I think the manufacturer should have included a bungee or separate strap to keep front wheels from flopping and causing further damage even though easily obtained. I used this at highway speeds for short distances (12 miles) without incident. I would likely not take a long cross country trip with this rack. Good value and what I expected. I recommend it.
the product is as expected. the shipment time was great. thank you April 26, 2008 the bick rack is ok. but when you fold it. it a little hard to unfold it again
great rack for the price April 15, 2008 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I needed a bike rack to transport my bike 1000 miles. I traveled through rain and snow and wind and the bike stayed put. The rack did not vibrate or shake. The bike stayed secure for the entire trip and the vehicle is undamaged in any way. I would buy one of these racks again.
Great car rack for the price April 12, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 94 Toyota Camry LE. It is quite sturdy, and the rubberized clasps are very thick. I find that strapping my road bike works wonderfully on any of the three bike holders. However, my mountain bike has a more aggressive frame, and cannot slide to the bike holders nearest to the trunk without a lot of hassle. Also, this rack cannot hold children's bikes well due to their smaller frame size not spanning the two rack arms. However, driving 500 miles or so to get to some of my biking locations, I've never had a problem with bikes falling off the rack or swaying, or anything else. It is a great rack for the price--I bought mine for around $150. I wouldn't pay any more for it though, considering there are better racks out there for more money. But for the price, you can't go wrong.
Good Rack for the Money April 5, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Works great with round tube frames. Easy to setup and seems to be pretty sturdy when mounted. I had some trouble mounting an oval tube full suspension bike in a normal configuration, but it could be done.
