5 out of 5 stars Best purchase for sweaty yogis!   August 31, 2006

After sweating and slipping in many a vinyasa class (even on a "non-slip" mat), a friend recommended this yoga towel. This product has saved my yoga practice! It does take one or two classes to get used to, but once you do, you are off to non-slip yoga bliss. Plus, the well-placed circle at the top of the mat gives you a visual to focus on to stay centered. Thank you Yogitoes!

5 out of 5 stars No More Slipping!   May 5, 2006

Finally found the answer to my "slippage" problem. What a difference it makes in my routine! My only regret is that I didn't purchase it months ago!

5 out of 5 stars Skidless if you are sweaty - great for Bikram hot yoga   April 25, 2006

It can be just a bit slippy at first but as soon as you sweat it gives you good grip. Expensive for a towel but I love all the colors - end up getting more from BargainYoga for much less. Don't forget to wash twice before use. The color will bleed so don't mix with other clothes. Also don't overload the dryer with a SKIDLESS inside. It will make horrible noises because of the nubs. (I fired the cleaning lady afterwards.)

3 out of 5 stars Good slippage control for hands, but not feet   February 13, 2006

I have this in pink, which was only made for October 2005, for Breast Cancer Awareness month. I love the color of mine. I considered buying one for quite a while, but didn't like the chakra color selection. I wanted something more pastel, so fortunately I was shopping for it in October. Current color selection is a minus.

This towel is really good for controlling slippage in my hands, but not my feet. My feet seem to slip more than usual, so I don't use this towel frequently. It seems to work better when I am sweating more. I also have a theory that fabric softener may make it more slippery, but that's just a theory.

It's also a bit of a pain to deal with when moving into poses where I need to move or fold the mat.

Currently my mat is on it's last legs, so it helps helps keep me from getting little chunks of mat all over myself while I find the perfect mat to replace it. It's good for extending the life of your mat.

5 out of 5 stars Solves the slippage problem   September 10, 2005

This was recommended to me by my yoga teacher...very useful if you practice Ashtanga or other "vinyasa flow" (i.e. sweaty!) yoga. It's the exact size of a standard yoga mat, it doesn't bunch up and trip me when I'm trying to jump through, and it absolutely stops my hands and feet from slipping. Plus, it folds up a lot smaller than a blanket and is easier to fit in a mat bag. It's kind of spendy, but worth it if you practice regularly. Highly recommended.
