Best TV Ever March 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I did much research like many others have. I kept hearing Samsung was better than Sony. I finally decided on the Samsung 4671. After I ordered it I kept worrying about the few posts that indicated problems, would I get one of those. I must tell you I received the TV 2 days before scheduled delivery and was very pleased as I live in a small town and was concerned that may have been a problem. Not a problem. I am on cable and was sheduled to get HD and DVR 10 days from the delivery date. Long 10 days. I plugged in the TV using the analog channels and was pleasantly surprised at the picture quality. I thought from everything I read I would be disappointed . No way, and I could not wait to get the digital and HD channels. When I did get the full hook up (digital & HD) I was in awe. The digital channels were what I expected the HD channels to be and the HD channels blew me away. I do have a DVD upconversion 1080 player and it also performs well. I have been a Sony, Panasonic buyer for years. There is no way they could be better than this TV. This is definitely a 5 star TV.
Great Buy March 7, 2008 This is great buy and the delivery service was upto expectation(I opted for white glove delivery)
You will find most of the review here in Amazon.com to be useful, but one thing that is missing is that when you buy the TV get the correct screen size based on viewing length, if you dont know what I am talking about, do research on "viewing length" (vs) "TV screen size", for best performance.
Overall great TV for current technologies in the market....
Great LCDTV March 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had this TV for approx. 3 months. It's a great LCDTV and i actually decided on a Samsung LCD after staying at my friend's apt for about 2 weeks and he had an older model of the same size (46"). The picture and overall experience/feel from a Samsung lcdtv is quite awesome. I feel like the picture quality is def a lot clearer and crisper than the lower end LCDTVs from other companies. The quality is def comparable to the SONY bravia series and a lot cheaper. The 120hz technology (the new thing that's different from previous models) is actually kind of trippy. I was watching movies with it when i first got the tv, and the experience is really weird since everything moves at a much higher framerate. When i watched sports with the 120hz option on, i didnt see a whole lot of difference than the regular framerate (keep in mind everything i watch is HD). I suspect there are certain channels and backgrounds which work best with the 120hz setting. Overall, this is a great TV and definitely worth the price. You can try to save some money by getting the same size tv from other companies, but the quality will not be remotely close.
Samsung LNT4671 great picture March 3, 2008 lcd tv was easy to set up and has the best picture of any tv I've looked at. I would recommend the samsung LNT product line up to anyone looking for and LCD TV.
Exceptional March 3, 2008 This TV got 3rd on consumers reports MUST buy LCD's. The other two being a Sony priced in the mid-$3,000 range and a lower model Samsung. This TV is exceptional. It is a great buy and you get your money's worth out of it's quality. We have a Samsung DLP as well (3 1/2 years now) and couldn't be more thrilled with the quality of Samsung. They hold up and are great value for the money. Samsung will continue to get our business.
