Buy this TV and buy it from Amazon now!!! April 14, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is one of the best televisions on the market right now and Amazon's price can't be beat. Worried about buying online? Forget that nonsense. They have the best price by almost $500. They have free shipping and they ship fast. I was worried about shipping such an expensive item, but the process could not have gone any smoother. Amazon seems to take pride in customer satisfaction and they have accomplished that mission with me. thanks Amazon

Great product and service. April 8, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I recently purchased the Samsung 4671f 46" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV. It is a fantastic display. I had considered many different brands and features before settling on this model. This seemed to be the most features for a reasonable price. There were many reviews I had read about Samsung LCD's and a glare issue (the LCD being relatively reflective). My thought, before purchase was that it couldn't be worse than my CRT TV. Now that I have purchased and been watching for a month, I can confirm that the glare is a non-issue. The colors are great, the black is black. In fact, the black is dark enough that it appears as the television may be turned off. This is my first HDTV and I am not disappointed at all. I sometimes wonder why I waited so long. I am so happy with this purchase.
The LCD was delivered using Amazon's "white glove delivery" service. Excellent service! The driver brought in the TV in the box and allowed me to inspect the box for incursions. He opened the box, took the TV out and allowed me to inspect it physically. He plugged it in, hooked it up and showed me that it could receive a signal. He showed me the remote and confirmed that it worked. Only after everything was confirmed in good working order did I have to sign for receipt. I would recommend and consider using this service again.
I love this TV April 6, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I hesitated for years before buying this TV. I bounced between plasma and LCD. Every six months some newer TV would come out and have some feature I didn't really understand, but I knew I must have.
Finally, I bit the bullet and bought this TV and I love it. The delivery was excellent. It actually arrived for local delivery before the expected date, and I wasn't guite ready for it. Had to postpone delivery for a few days. Having to wait around on the day of delivery was a bit of a hassle, but the 2 guys who delivered it were efficient and polite. I already had my cables ready, so after they unpacked the TV and plugged it in, they waited until I hooked up to my receiver and made sure the picture was good. I have Comcast cable.
As many people have mentioned, I also had to turn down the brightness. I literally got headaches for the 1st couple of days, until I found the postings about reducing the picture brightness. The HD is amazing. I can literally count the hairs on their head when watching an HD channel. The SD is also excellent. The cable box automatically changes the picture to a 4:3 ratio and sometimes it looks almost as good as the high definition. But not quite! I generally run with the 120HZ enabled and haven't seen a problem with that. There IS the occasional problem with 'ghosts' trailing characters when they move quickly, but it seems this happens with older TV shows and with black and white. A slight annoyance but not too bad.
There is a occasional reflection on the glass front, but it almost always disappears when the TV is turned on. On really bright days I close the blinds, but even when I don't, my brain seems to tune out the reflection.
