 GREAT REMOTE February 1, 2007
Made my life so much easier. I'm no longer embarrased by my friends who wonder how the heck to turn on all my equipment and what settings to get sound out of the receiver. This thing is so versatile! Highly recommand the harmony series.

I had mixed feeling about buying this remote from the reviews I have read; I'm not the type that spends $75.00 on a remote, but really tired of 4 remotes and calls from the kids to ask why they couldn't watch tv, dvd, etc. Right out of the box, from software installation - to system configuration - to activity setup... it was flawless. I have a mixture of components, one of which is a new Yamaha receiver, that other cheaper remotes failed at controlling. Everything, after initial remote update, worked without a single change. After doing a little more research into the software options, it was very easy to setup additional customization to my system. One word of warning, which was mentioned in other reviews; The response from keys like "volume up/down" and channel up/down" is rather slow, but after searching their help files, you will want to adjust the "speed delays", in particular the "Inter-Key Delay" and "Inter-Device Delay". Other than that, I'd recommend this remote to anyone.

I love this remote...it's replaced several other remotes that were scattered on the coffee table. It does everything as advertised. Once you have the software up and running, all you have to do is enter the model numbers of your TV/Audio/Tivo devices and then select and configure your activites (watch TV, play a CD etc.) utilizing your programmed devices. It was very quick to program for me and it seems to work from a greater distance than some of my other remotes. This model is good for the average system with TV and several other audio/video components. If you want to go the full mile, check out the 880...which I also own and use in my media room. So far, I have found the Harmony remotes to be the answer to my needs and elimate the multiple remote clutter.

For the money, the best remote out there, I have a KEF system, and every remote that I tried did not have codes for KEF, I was getting ready to get rid of my system, and than a friend told me about the Harmony/Logitech remote; I have to tell you, I cannot remember ever being this satisfied with a product. It was extremely easy to set up, and the 1 time I needed technical support, I was on hold less than a minute, and the tech support person that helped me actually made the changes over the internet, I just hooked up remote with USB, and a few seconds later it was working the way I wanted.

This remote was so easy to setup. It just asks simple questions and then lets you customize some features from there. I found it very intuitive and relatively quick (under 30 minutes). The remote itself looks really nice. It is nicely finished and subdued. I didn't want a big remote that screamed look at me and this one fit the bill. So far after my first day having this remote, I give it high marks!
