Drops calls all the time. I thought perhaps it was an issue with the Bluetooth so I disabled it. Same problem. Planning to return this ASAP

I hate to bad mouth Panasonic because I own other products from them that work quite well. This product though is not ready for use in the US market. God knows what the cause is, but like other users here and elsewhere on the Internet, this phone system is a nightmare because of the regularity with which it drops calls. You can imagine how infuriating this can be in situations where you have been waiting on hold for a while to then lose your spot in-line because of this phone. Worse if when you make a call and have to go through several menus to get to the right person or department and then find your call was dropped and you have to start again. Panasonic Customer Service acknowledged this problem and simply said that if it bothered me enough to return the phone.
Sadly for me, I had the identical problem with the earlier(non-Bluetooth) version of this phone - pnly this time it is worse. The concept is great. Unfortunately the literature did not mention that it does not work with all cell phones. I have a Treo 755 and found out it does not work with Palms. I returned it. I could receive calls but not call out.
Spending Money on Something That DOES NOT WORK... October 1, 2008
I was excited when I learned about the Panasonic KX-TH1212 that would enable my cell phones with wireless handsets in my home. Our family has two Iphones and I thought this would be a great solution. Like so many others who have written reviews, it seemed to work fine at first. Then after a couple of weeks, the system started to drop inbound calls. I followed the instructions and move the base unit around to different locations in our home... still dropping inbound calls. I found myself running to pickup the Iphone to answer the call because I was afraid the Panasonic system would drop the call. Generally I could place outbound calls without any problems, but in the last week over 80% of the inbound calls were dropped. I cannot seem to find anything different between the calls that were dropped and those that were not. Very frustrating! I now find that I have had the product over 30days and cannot return it for a refund!! Oh BTW... I had purchased additional handsets as well. Kiss $300 goodbye. Buyer be ware - do not buy this product! Oh... I called Panasonic Customer Service and waited on hold for 45mins and gave up... I also sent an email - nothing back. Very dissapointing.

This thing works! Easy to set up. Backlite keys and bright display. I love it. I forget it is connected to the cell? Tells you if you missed calls too! This is the hottest thing I have purchased all year. If you live in the mountains like I do, it will extend the range if you have dead spots. I recommend this highly. It also works great with the Wilson antenna systems and repeater/amplifiers. Don't hesitate. Tradesmart.net
