Apple airport express August 9, 2008 This thing is good but it does not reach that far,I have a one bed room apt, and if I plug it on one side it will not reach into my bed room. I have to put it in the middle of my apt for it to reach,it is fast and everything, but if you can afford the bigger version the Extreme, than get it because it will actually reach places further than 50 feet.
Set up could be easier, but once working I have loved it! August 7, 2008 I agree with other posters here that setting this up could have been much simpler. Yet, once I figured it out it worked like a charm. I use this for my desktop computer to play on my living room stereo across the house and it works seemlessly. I use the remote app that you can get for the iPhone 2.0 and it make it even more fun as I can change songs straight my iPhone without having to go to my computer.
Set up instructions could use some work July 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Don't let the title fool you. This product was the simplest to install, I just had to figure it out on my own. Sounds a bit contradictory, I know. But all I had to do was install the software, plug in an ethernet cable from my router to the airport express and the software took it from there.
I purchased this as a recommendation from a friend at work. I was looking for a product that would mimic the functionality of SONOS, but without the price. The Airport Express and AirTunes has worked perfectly. I can use my iPhone to send music to the AirPort Express. From there I can select playlists, genre's and even search for that perfect song; all from the comfort of my couch.
Little by little, I may be becoming a Mac convert. Only time will tell, I guess.
Extend Wireless is Perfect, But not Printer July 27, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product for two resons. First, I want to extend My Wireless Network to cover my home. Which was done perfictly and withen 2 Min using Airport Utility. I tried it with Netgeer and Speedtuch and it worked will.
The other parts is USB printer port. I configure every thing but I can print only one file , after that I get error in Printing and I have to restart the Airport Express and it goes will again.
Perfect. Easy and solid. July 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Connection is very easy and robust. Airtunes is great. It's just too bad that hard drives cannot be plugged to this one (you need the Airport Extreme base station). Speed is very good too. Too bad you need to set it up with the older "g" norm if you want to connect you Nintendo DS to it.
