 Not Worth It October 19, 2008
I purchased this to replace a less expensive headset I got from Dell. That one only lasted about six months. So then I looked around for a better quality headset. From the reviews, I never expected this one to give me any problems, let alone be so short lived, but it only lasted six months as well before the sound on one side of it gave out. Add to that the fact that the design is uncomfortable and flimsy. Unless you can find this on sale somewhere for about twelve dollars, I can't recommend it to anyone. It's not worth more than that.

I shopped around and found that Amazon had the best price by far above everyone else. This is a good headset whether at home in front of your computer or traveling with your laptop.
Great Headset with Minor Issues October 17, 2008
I have been using the headset for over 4 months now. This is one of the best looking headset you can get on the market at reasonable price. So if you are looking for inexpensive headset that works well and looks nice this is the headset for you.
As with any headet there are issues. I will list them but they are not a deal breakers. Judge it yourself.
Sound Quality : Sound quality is excellent. I have used them on Skype and it (re)produce excellent sound. I listen to TV with this unit while I voice control my computer. In rare instance, there is problem with audio. Sound volume goes down a bit or there is a slight lag. It is hard to describe but this headset is not for judging sound quality. My guess is it has to do with conversion process on the USB. But it is not normally perceiveable. You will not notice it.
Ergonomics : Headset itself is fairly comfortable. But I wear glasses. Plastic band that rests on my ear meets my glass frame and it causes added pressure on my ear and it gets uncomfortable after an hour or two. Headset itself is secure and fits well.
Case : The case is great. I usually break my headset during transport. Even the the carrying case makes it big. It is a very safe and neat way to carry the headset around. Excellent bonus.
USB : One of the problem with headset is access to the ports. Most of the pc have their audio ports in the most inaccessible area of the computer. With the laptops, this won'w be a big benefit but USB audio dongle makes this headset one of the best headset. I can just connect this on my laptop or PC's usb and I have access to fine microphone and headset. Very convenient. Get USB.
Microphone & Voice Recognition : I use Vista Speech Recongition and its WSR macros to control my computer and in game. There is odd problem I am encountering. It may have to do with Vista not as much as the microphone but even with low (30) sensitivity setting, Vista picks up words even though I did not say anything. I taped the microphone with some paper towl to reduce the ghosting but it still happens. Noise canceling microphone will be a good feature but those are very expensive.
Conclusion : This is an excellent headset. If I wanted something better than this, it will cost me a lot more. I highly recommend this for normal headset use.

The very long chord is cumbersome. The product itself is NOT very light. The overall quality was pretty good. Noise cancellation etc. The reason for the deduction of starts was due to it NOT being adjustable (as a geadset that's pretty important). So if you have a head that's small it will not work for you as it will just droop in the back & weigh down your ears instead of being supported by the back of your head. I had to return this item & lost money on shipping (both ways) and a 15% restocking fee (avoid AOnline as a company to purchase from their customer service is lacking).

I purchased this item for my online graduate class, and it has performed better than I expected.
