5 out of 5 stars Works great. Loved the card reader   October 16, 2008
Excellent memory card. The card reader helps a lot if you do not have the slot in your computer

5 out of 5 stars You can't beat it!   October 15, 2008

A few of the other reviewers have mentioned that they didn't receive an authentic Transcend card reader with this 16gb SDHC card. I ordered mine from seller "Cameta Camera" and mine was in the real Transcend retail packaging which included the Transcend card and the Transcend card reader. The seller also shipped very fast. I have absolutely no complaints about the seller, this card, the price or it's performance. Files transfer to this card much faster than they transfer onto my SanDisk cruzer micro USB drives. I am using this in a Philips DVP5990 DVD player to play DivX videos through the USB 2.0 port on the front of the player. If you're looking for a perfect DivX / XviD player combo, you can't beat the Philips DVP5990 and this Transcend 16gb SDHC card with card reader package. The Philips DVP5990 will also play videos from external USB hard drives and other USB storage devices. 5 stars for both the Transcend card / card reader and the Philips DVP5990.

5 out of 5 stars Great!   October 14, 2008
The card reader works fantastic and the 16GB card can't be beat. Everything works just like it should.

4 out of 5 stars Large memory size makes it slow.   October 12, 2008
I boughtt this SD card and reader to use for my remote surveillance camera videos. It had no problems with capturing tthe video nor playing them back . The large capacity made it possible to keep larger files, which translates into higher quality videos.

I did notice, however, that despite the fact that it worked flawlessly in the camera and computer, the speed of transfer was slower than other cards I tried in the same reader. Just by rough estimate this card transferred a little less than 1 meg/second. My other cards did about twice that. Add to this the huge capacity and you'll find that filling the full 16Gigs from scratch will be a time consuming activity. Otherwise, this card seems perfectly suited to the task I need it for.

3 out of 5 stars Not as advertised   October 12, 2008

This item consists 2 pieces - 16 Gb SD card and USB card reader. However, the shipped card reader is not as described (transcend brand), it is OEM in which quality and time of service is questionable.
