Great! October 24, 2008 I bought this model after having it recommended by a friend who has one. He told me I didn't need all the bells and whistles of more expensive models, nor did I need a larger screen. He was certainly right. This model is easy to install, easy to read and program, and does everything I need it to do. I would definitely reccomend it, especially for a first-time user.

Great, reliable product October 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What a great device! We purchased this for a 5000 mile road trip and it was a lifesaver more than once. The maps were accurate even on secondary mountain roads and obscure towns in Wyoming. The turn by turn voice navigation was great, and I love how it recalculated the route immediately after missing a turn instead of telling us to turn around and go back. My only complaint is that sometimes the routes are not as simple and direct as they could be. But overall a fantastic product that I would recommend to anyone.
Garmin GPS Navigator October 9, 2008 The product is good and it came in one day. It's small, which is convenient, and the detour option is very good. It also announces street names. Like Mapquest, local routes are not always the best and need to be ignored, but it's very good for places that are far and even directed us on an alternate route because it knew that a road was closed for bikes and pedestrians on Sunday.
Excellent gift! October 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the Garmin nuvi 260 for my husband's birthday, and he loves it. It was ready to use right out of the box, and is a great value for the price. It is so easy to use, even technologically-challenged parents would probably be able to figure it out (hopefully not while driving!) The only thing I'd recommend doing is buying a bag or something to put it in when you're not using it so you don't scratch the screen.
