Light shed is very bright, directed and diffuse on the page. Clip-base is sturdy, adaptable and easily keeps the light up and free standing. The switch is well designed and easy to use, too easy when packing. If one is not careful the switch can be bumped by something in one's bag and the light goes on and stays on. The only sure method I have found is to take the batteries out, when packing for a trip. That is not a big deal. I am very happy with the Mighty Bright XtraFkex2 Light.

I received one of these a few days ago and my verdict is that I am likely to use it when reading books at night.
Brief overview:
- 2 super-bright LED's with lenses
- light has more blue and very little red, or yellow (think of a steady neon light)
- uses 3 (THREE) AAA batteries
- 40-hour battery life (claim is made on the package, not verified by me)
- power supply not provided
- relatively long, flexible arm
- can turn on 1 or 2 LED's
- solid build
- a bit heavy but had no problem using it with a paperback
I will definitely use this lamp when reading books at night. I doubt I will ever use it as a flashlight or a work light unless I had no other choice.

Update 3 weeks later: I am very happy with this lamp and I am now considering ordering a few more for my 2 boys as they are sharing the bedroom and, sometimes, one of them wants to read at night.
P.S. - didn't have to replace the batteries yet.

Got one in purple for myself & the black for my husband. He loves it too! Very light in weight (even with the batteries, which surprised me.) Great brightness & we love that it has two intensities. We use rechargeable batteries so it can be used continuously. Works great on the Kindle & also hardcopy books. Can't beat it for the price!

Excellent, well made product. I use mine constantly & love reading with the rest of hte houe lights turned down and this on the kindle screen. the light does not cause a glare & provides a high level of readability to the kindle in darkend environments.

For its low price, this product is a shining beacon of delight for books or Kindles that you are reading! One just needs to remember that there are other colors. But again, for it's low price, this item makes the perfect gift for students in school! So for all you kids out there, during special occasions such as birthdays or winter holidays, treat your fellow classmate with a tool to show them the light and to brighten their studies & homework efforts; all for the cost of about 2 or 3 lunches!
