It is great you can move this anywhere. Also do not have to put on dash. We found the one you had to stick to the windshield made it hard to see out the windshield. GREAT

Got this to use with my Nuvi 650. The windshield mount was distracting, and seemed like an invitation for thieves. The friction mount works perfectly. No additional pieces are needed (you just use the cradle from the windshield mount). It is quite stable on my curved Acura TL dashboard. It might move millimeters on a long, bumpy trip, but it isn't about to go flying or sliding.

An excellent accessory for any Nuvi 660 owner. Used it on a road trip from Phila to GA. along I95 and the unit was rock steady the entire trip.

My wife and I were tired of our suction cup mount falling off the window ALL THE TIME. The suction cup also left a black reside on our window that we got tired of cleaning. This friction mont does a GREAT job. It stays steady; regardless of our driving style. I also think the Nuvi is much easier to reach now that it is about a foot closer to the driver. i definitely would by this product again...of course Amazon's free shipping got the product to us faster than expected.

I got this unit because I did nto want to stick anything on to my windshield. Well two turns and I stop, my unti was attached to the window and this thing was some place in the back of my car!!!!
