Great Idea that works November 16, 2008
We use this to mount our Garmin Nuvi 880 in our Mini Cooper S and it works unbelievably well. On a recent trip to the Smoky Mountains we took our new Cooper S on Deals Gap, a terrific slice of sports car/motorcycle heaven because it has 300+ curves in just 11 intersection free and pristinely paved miles. This translates into a roller coaster like experience while driving. The GPS never budged an inch despite constant changes in g-force loads in all planes. No normal city/highway conditions would ever exceed this scenario. The bean bags are plenty heavy and the rubberized undersurface provide sufficient friction to accomplish the task. My only complaint is that it is a bit bulky and not particularly attractive sitting on the dash. But if I wanted a stealth look I'd use a window mount or specialized mount. With this, you just remove the GPS and toss the this mount wherever and leave no suction cup prints behind.

After going through lots of bad reviews for the windshield based mounts, I decided to buy this and I am very glad I did. This is a neat piece of product for a cool price. The rubber kinda base (which is even better compared to the sticky ones) makes it stand still on the dashboard even when you bring the vehicle to an immediate stop or take it for a wild turn. I wish I could rate it for 5 stars but due to the size the base occupies (would have been perfect if the base was slightly smaller), I am giving a 4. I have not a single drop of regret for buying this and would certainly recommend this great product to everyone.

Works exactly as it promises. Ideal not only when traveling, but also to share a Garmin Nuvi among several cars in our family. So much easier even in one car than the more permanent mounts, as can easily move it to the floor under the seat when parked. Did not slide at all, stayed exactly where it was, easy swivel to view. Also easier for passenger to load in new locations as you're driving. This should be the standard mount packaged with the Nuvi.

This item is simple and works great. No more GPS falling off my windshield on to the car floor. I can anglefor easy read and it is easily stored in glove compartment when not in use....Love it!!
Works great for Nuvi 650 November 14, 2008
This mount works great for my Nuvi 650. I had my old GPS stolen because I stupidly left it in the car exposed when I parked my car. Now with this mount, I just put the mount underneath my seat whenever I park and take my gPS with me. This thing is easily removable and it's remains really really stable when you drive given its weight and design. The mount doesn't shift or move at all and is a great alternative to windshield mounts because it's easily removable and does not leave a mark. Highly recommended for Garmin GPS for safety reasons
