A Mom Pleased, A Daughter thinks is Great January 14, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
My daughter has been having a blast with the Conair Pro Color. She has darker brown hair, and all the colors look good so far. It's a way for young girls to put the streaks of color in their hair, and it washes out in the next shampoo. My daughter is 13 and uses it very easily on herself.
I want to use it too! My daughter bought it with her birthday money, so the only way I can use it is if I buy the refills. ~smile~ No problem!
PAtience is a virtue! January 11, 2006 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Don't go to slowly, or else it will get too much on, then it looks limp, but if you go sorta slow/quick it works fine. Or go fast at first then go slower. PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!
Gimmicky product more hassle than it's worth January 8, 2006 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
The quality of the color is poor. It makes your hair greasy and limp. I have very long, fine, straight blonde hair and I hated the results. My best friend has very thick wavy medium brown hair. We tried it on her with her hair wavy and the color skipped certain places even though we went very slowly down each section. We also tried straightening her hair and trying it. It looked ridiculous.
I thought that this would be a fun way to add streaks without the commitment of coloring it, but under no circumstances would I leave the house with my hair the way it looks after using this product. Greasy lifeless locks weren't the look I was after.
In any event, streaks and highlights are not trendy anymore, they look dated. The Pro Accents tool is cheap-looking black plastic with silver sparkles which paralells the look you will acheive by using it.
New advice! Must read! January 8, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have very very dark brown hair, sorta almost black hair, and I purchased this today. I used the advice of scraping a little off to help transfer colors, and it worked great. I also followed the advice of going slowly, but I went way to slowly and my hair was stiff, because I was getting way too much color, then I went faster (but not too fast) and It looked like real salon highlights, if you don't get enough the first try, go over it! Infinate thumbs up to Conair once again. P.S What is YOUR fave conair product?
Drabulous to fabulous.... January 8, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this product at the local Claires in Iowa City/ Coralville, because the commercial rocked and was pretty high quality. I love conair products, so I got this since I like change, and I'm 12, so I can only get temporary. The instructions were very confusing, but I think i have it down... anyways, i put in blue streaks, and they look great! Other than how i didn't mean to look punk, i love it. It helps to scrape a little off of the top with the touchup brush included. Remember to hold your hair straight and tight!
