3 out of 5 stars Fun for kids, routine for adults; Lack of depth   July 7, 2007

Let me first say I am 20 years old so that's why my rating/review may be different than the others. This game works best for kids.

Overall what makes this game fun and out of the ordinary is the fact you can swing the bat and pitch with the ball. The graphics are something resembling a regular or super nintendo, the hits go only to about 10-20 places in the field, which means they didn't care too much about programming some more possibilities in (you can't foul except for fouling out.)

Also annoying is the baserunning can't be controlled and your men get thrown out alot at second and third, as does the computer. The pitching is pretty good and pitch selection is easy, throwing is also pretty easy also once you get the hang of it, as it wouldn't register a lot of the time when I first started playing. Batting is the most fun and is pretty easy (compared to the baseball game on Wii if you've ever played that, you get a lot more runs with this game) Home runs can be hit fairly easily and as said earlier triples and doubles are ones hit deep down the fair ball line, other than that they are all singles, or pop outs.

Also the computer fields pretty bad in the infield they have commited about 10 errors on infield flies since I've been playing. Stealing and bunting are fun, but be careful not to do them too often the computer starts to pick up on it. Anyways I now know why this is targeted for pre-teens, maybe they wouldn't care about the lack of depth in this game. I personally would be more interested in an MLB 2007 type game with the interactivity (best of both worlds).

I gave it three stars because 1)I think radica could do better with the technology available today and am a little dissapointed 2)It is still fun to play and it is fairly cheap.

5 out of 5 stars Batter Up!   February 10, 2007

What a great way for kids to play baseball no matter what the weather is outside! Our seven year old son has enjoyed playing the Play TV Baseball 3 almost daily since receiving it at Christmas. It's easy for him to use. He simply plugs the base into our TV, picks up the bat and plays ball! He has so much fun playing whether its with his Dad, Sisters or against any of the players from the 12 teams. It's not just random swinging. He can field the ball by pressing the button that matches the base he wants to throw to. His throwing speed and pitching choices are sensed by the way he holds and swings the bat. He likes being able to adjust his plays.
After sitting in school all day he gets to release some of his energy by swinging the bat. Play TV Baseball 3 scores big at our house.

5 out of 5 stars GREAT INDOOR GAME   January 15, 2007

THIS WAS A REAL HIT WITH MY GRANDSON (10) AND ALL THE FAMILY. WE PLAYED ALL THREE LEVELS WELL INTO THE EVENING ON CHRISTMAS DAY. EVEN THE TWO YEAR OLD WAS ABLE TO GET INTO THE ACT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ITEM TO ANYONE WITH A LITTLE LEAGUE LOVER OF BASEBALL.

4 out of 5 stars A GOOD GAME   January 9, 2007

This is a fun and entertaining game.My son and I really enjoy it.The only drawback that I have found is on extra base hits you have no control over the baserunners and get thrown out a lot trying to "stretch" it.Otherwise a blast!

4 out of 5 stars Fun game for kids!   January 2, 2007

My daughter loves this game as she can pitch (a variety of pitches is available) and it's great for hand/eye coordination when using the bat. Of course, you need some room to swing the small bat and pitch the small ball so cramped quarters will not work too well, but it's a great and fun game and is very reasonably priced. You can play 3, 6 or 9 inning games, have a Home Run Derby and play as part of various major league teams (though the teams are just the city not the actual team name/logo).

It's a fun game for kids. Easy to play, affordable, and kids will enjoy it for hours and hours.
