Everlast multi function chinning bar October 10, 2008 This is a great product that will support a lot of weight. I weigh about 250 pounds and it holds me easily. The only con is that it is not made for wide grip pull-ups. However, I highly recommend this product.
Works great for me October 9, 2008 Despite some of the negative reviews I ordered this bar anyway. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together, without instructions. Those having trouble must be missing a few brain cells.
The quality is good for the price. Not the greatest, but it holds my weight (180 lbs.) just fine, without feeling like it's going to come apart.
Having the bar sitting in my doorway is great; Every time I walk by I do 4 chin ups. It's so convenient that you get a workout without thinking about it. It's motivated me to get back into the gym and I've already seen a nice improvement. Using it for deeper push ups is great too. After using it for a week you'll almost double regular push ups.
It's not a perfect fit. October 7, 2008 I'm happy with product. It's fits in doorway. Not perfectly, but it does what is designed to do.
Great bar October 6, 2008 I looked at several different chinning bars and this seemed to be the best for the money. I've owned it now for two weeks with no disappointments. It came with all the necessary bolts, nuts, and washers. The directions are very simple if you have any experience with reading/looking at pictures. Be sure to tighten bolts with tools (not your hands as others seem to have tried). The only caveat is that the bar doesn't fit all door frames. I tried 3 different doors in my apt. before I found one that fit, but as long as you have several door options you should be just fine. Also you should put some type of clothe between the bar and frame to avoid potential scratching/denting. Highly recommended!
nice and sturdy October 4, 2008 This chin up bar works perfect for me. It goes on easy and comes off easy, but it stays up when it is supposed to. I weight 300 lbs and it holds me just fine.
