Laugh until you Cry October 27, 2008 I read Marly & Me just because I love my own dog, even though she's not a lab. Mr. Grogan made me laugh outloud so many times, in this book. With that, I also knew I'd probably end up crying outloud too, which I did. To live with, care for, and love a dog, even one as unique as Marley, was so poignantly portrayed in this book. I was deeply touched. Wonderful, wonderful read!
Heartwarming! October 24, 2008 This book "Marley and Me", was wonderful and very heartwarming. So many funny antics, that only a cute, adorable dog like Marley could get away with. It was an easy and enjoyable read. I look forward to the movie which opens Christmas day.
Confirmation October 23, 2008 I really enjoyed the book. We recently got a very active golden retriever puppy and after reading about Marley I realized that Cosmo wasn't that bad after all!!!!
Loving a Lab is not always easy! October 23, 2008 This book was given to me as a joke really. Afterall, I have the world's worst dog! Marley & Me is a MUST for any dog lover, especially if you have ever owned a Lab. I laughed aloud many, many times throughout this book, and found it very hard to put down. A wonderful story of love, frustration, and man's best friend. A great gift!
Everyone Has Them October 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Everyone has that one dog that cannot be controled. For John Grogan, that dog was Marley. I thought that this book was good because we can all relate to his story. The dog that rips up the furniture, or cannnot be trained. This is the story of a man and his dog, and how things change throughout life. Marley was spunky as a pup, but he soon became old,as everyone does. This book had me in tears. I felt like I knew Marley and John personally and I felt the anger, laughter, love, and everything in between. This is a great book for anybody who has or had the love of a dog. This book definitly hit home for me, and I hope you like it also.
