5 out of 5 stars Happy in Nashville   April 23, 2004
Another letter to the publisher from a reader in Nashville: "I think your book is just a complete double-eagle for understanding the true nature of the golf experience. It's absolutely hilarious. How it escaped my attention [until now] I don't know. There have been just a handful of books that I've read in my lifetime that I thought, "Damn, I should have thought of that!" (That's not including the Harry Potter series, of course.) Yours is the newest on that short list.

5 out of 5 stars Thanks again for creating this obviously essential book   April 7, 2004
Jim Clark, owner of Weaver's in Nashville, wrote the publisher and said: "... I think your book is just a complete double-eagle for understanding the true nature of the golf experience. 5 out of 5 stars Bobby Rusher's Greatest Work   March 14, 2004

For golfers of all skill levels, this book is a must. Bobby has truly outdone himself with this hilariously funny look at the game we all love.

It brings sheer joy and laughter to all my golfing friends.

When is the sequel due out?

5 out of 5 stars Perspective   March 9, 2004

Mr.Rusher's view of golf and his fundamental understanding of the game is a wonderfully refreshing statement of the humor and pespective we should maintain toward life itself. In a world where we constantantly take ourselves far too seriously, it's a great joy to take a moment with a book that makes you laugh out loud (even though you're by yourself)!Kudos to Bobby Rusher for a thoroughly entertaining trip around the golf course and for making us pause long enough to keep life in proper focus.

5 out of 5 stars Best how to book ever!   March 9, 2004

When I first read this book I just knew that Mr. Rusher had been following my 40+ years of golf with great interest. This is a book written for all of us 22+ handicappers. We all thought we were alone in our pursuit of mastery of this game. Mr. Rusher shows us that we are the real leaders of this game. Its true backbone. We can take great pride in knowing that our golf game is more cost efficient than that of a scratch golfer (on a cost per stroke basis). I have played golf with Mr.Rusher and take delight in telling all that this is NOT a work of fiction. This is a true chronicle of how he plays the game, and the rules as he knows them.

What does the the USGA know about mulligans? We all know that no matter how often you swing on the tee it only counts if it lands in the short grass. We know its not our fault that someone planted a tree where our ball lands. We know that those white stakes are there to help you line up where to look for your ball. If those neighbors don't want people walking (or riding) in their backyard, they shouldn't live on a golf course. Their pool is just a free drop water hazard.

Mr. Rusher knows the game. Knows how it supposed to be played. Knows what the rules should be and really are. Now everyone can know. Read this book and you'll never worry about that fourth putt again. Mr. Rusher has set the standard for all golf instructional tomes. Mr. Pennick may be revered, but Mr. Rusher speaks to and for all of us, not to the few.
