3 out of 5 stars Love the one you're with.... by Emily Giffin   September 14, 2008
I've got all 4 of these books and have read all of them. While this book is still good, it wasn't as easy or fast of a read as the others. Didn't hold my interest as much. Didn't have any of the characters from the other books like the first 3 did. I liked that the second and thrid in this series, were continuations of the first.

1 out of 5 stars Crappy Chicklit   September 13, 2008

I'm a big fan of chicklit, believe me. I enjoyed Giffin's three previous novels. I never particularly cared for the main characters, but I was interested to see how they evolved and matured, and I wanted to know what happened to them. However, the main character of this book is just too annoying and awful. She is so relentlessly self-absorbed. She puts her nice husband through the ringer so she can "find herself" or some such nonsense. She is over-sensitive about just about everything. Frankly, I really wanted her husband to kick her to the curb. Not recommended. Try Giffin's other novels!

5 out of 5 stars good book!   September 13, 2008

i really enjoyed this book a lot. it says a lot about the good, the bad, and the ugly about love, marriage and commitment. i could really relate to the story and thought the characters were well drawn and true to life. it's nice to read a book in which the main character isn't perfect or rigidly moral. i would definitely recommend it to my friends.

3 out of 5 stars Quality ok.   September 12, 2008

The book's description was listed as "New" and the comments indicated "New copy great gift item buy with confidnece." However, the book did not arrive in a timely fashion and there was water damage to many of the pages.

3 out of 5 stars Not loving "love the one you're with"   September 12, 2008

Dissapointing! Giffin's previous novels were excellent, couldn't put them down reads, however this 4th novel by Giffin was truly dissapointing and hard to finish but I at least wanted to know who Ellen finally ends up with in the end but even still the end was not satisfying at all. I'm giving this 3 stars only b/c I know Giffin is a great author (based on her 3 previous novels) and Im not giving up hope yet! I'm still a fan and will look forward to her next novel...which better be a vast improvement or else it'll be last Giffin novel.
