5 out of 5 stars New Moon   November 11, 2008
It was very emotional. It was the darkest of the four books, but wonderfully written so the saga on a whole has the dramatic impact that most people have come to love about the story.

5 out of 5 stars Second book as good as the first   November 11, 2008
This is the second book in the Twilight series and I have to admit, I was a tad reluctant to pick up the second book. I got so immersed in the first one, I was afraid the second one would not live up to my expectations. How wrong I was. The writer takes a nice twist and suddenly we have an entirely new story line I never would have dreamt of. The story is fresh and exciting and sucks you in all over again. I am constantly amazed at how hard it is for me to put the book down. It's simply riviting and exciting. If you are reluctant to pick it up because of the vampire theme, don't worry about that. It really is a different take on that sort of thing and is more about the people and not about anything you would normally associate with that genre. It's an extremely well crafted tale and you won't regret picking it up. I'm completely addicted to the series now. Outstandingly good.

3 out of 5 stars Not as good as Twilight...   November 10, 2008

Although this book started out well, it quickly became tedious and I had to force myself to get through everything but maybe the first 50 pages and the last 50 pages. The main redeeming quality is that despite their immaturity, I found myself wanting to know what happened to the characters...I just don't think the author needed 600 pages to tell this part of Bella's story.
