 Attractive and Comfortable Dress August 24, 2008
I purchased this for a casual beach wedding, and it's perfect. The wide elastic waist is flattering, whether you have curves or not. Crinkle fabric makes it easy for travel -- just fold in half lengthwise and roll it from top to bottom. The elastic around neckline allows for you to widen or narrow the neckline to your taste, and elastic band on sleeves helps keep it in place. My only regret is not ordering it sooner, because I could only get it in brown. Looks nice, but brown isn't my favorite color. Give it a shot if you need a casual, comfortable dress that would be appropriate for most any occasion.

I love Newport News cuz it's one of the few places that sells classy, natural-fabric apparel in petite as well as large sizes--non of that stiff, polyester stuff--and they're relatively inexpensive!! In addition to their chic, high-fashion items, Newport also carries lots of frilly, beribboned, nostalgic things, a nice change with styles being so plain these days. You can easily go historic or goth. This particular off-the-shoulder dress is cheap and dashing, with a relaxed fit. The loosely woven gauze tends to tear easily at the seams, though, hence only 3 stars. (I had this problem with a gauze tiered skirt I ordered from them, too.}

Dress poor quality and sizing was not right for me so I returned the dress the following day. However, it's been 3 months now and still no refund!! Very dissatisfied with their customer service!!"

Wow! This is one adorable bargain from Newport News -- one of the sweetest, hippest fashion catalog companies around. It's a classic peasant style, sophisticated enough to evoke summers in the city at a sidewalk cafe. (Richard Gere -- where are you???)
Just as it appears, this is a natural for summer in comfortable, light-weight crinkle cotton (No ironing! Hello!!) with a luxurious fullness in the skirt set off by an ultra-flattering slimming waistline.
This dress will certainly give your summer wardrobe and self-image a boost, and I predict you will want one in every color, because I sure do! (There goes that fortune-teller in me again!)

I am so happy with this dress. I ordered the peridot and worried that it would be too bright a green but it is fabulous. It fits well, size is great and is a great length. I love the elasticated waist which thankfully will still work as I continue with my weight loss goals - great to not have to keep buying new sizes.
