Product Description The Wald 582 sets the standard for ingenuity when it comes to rear baskets. Mounting to the side of almost any rear rack, this nimble basket is the perfect size for packing 1-2 bags of groceries while balancing your load. When not in use, the base of the basket pivots up allowing the side walls to collapse. A simple clamp at the top of the side panels keeps everything secured while the basket is folded up to one inch thick

So Very Convenient September 23, 2008 I absolutely love these baskets. I bought two sets, one for me and one for my partner. We no longer drive so some sort of storage was a must and these work beautifully. Combined there's more than enough room for all our groceries, or anything else we've needed so far. That includes bags of potting soil, live plants, large bags of glass bottles, crushed cans, newspaper bundles, and even a belt sander and an oven rack!
They were very easy to install. Sometimes the folding hinges get stuck a little but I bet a bit of WD40 would fix that if it started to really bother me.
I can't imagine anything else even coming close being able to handle all the things I strap into and onto my bike and then still giving me that nice slimness when I have nothing to carry at all. These are great.
Wald Basket September 22, 2008 Great racks that I use to for trips to the grocery, shopping, or camping. I would highly recommend.
i love these baskets September 15, 2008 I got the stainless steel style that fold up when you're not using them and I love them. I've carried bags of groceries, bottles of wine, and an entire cake over to a friends house using these baskets. And then they fold away when I don't need them. I was expecting to bungee them down when folded flat to avoid rattling, but they've been surprisingly quiet so far. I know friends have experienced rattling with theirs, so I'll be ready with bungees just in case, but so far, they're everything I was hoping for.
Great but heavy September 15, 2008 I love my Wald baskets. Two slight problems: they didnt fit the rack i have on the back of my bike, so I had to use some different hardware and some hose clamps, not a big deal tho. second, they make my bike wayyyy heavier (not like my bike is carbon fiber but still). other than that I love them!
Delightfully functional! September 14, 2008 I love these storage baskets. They collapse down to get out of the way when I don't need them, but they hold a lot of stuff (a 12-pack in one, a picnic dinner in the other) when I need them to. Other reviews mention installing them two inches back from 'centered' on the bike rack. I did that, and the clearance for my heels is perfect.
We added a co-pilot so our four-year-old can ride with us, and with the addition of these baskets, my bike is becoming the minivan of cycling. I love it!
