4 out of 5 stars gustbuster umbrella   August 3, 2008
Great sturdy umbrella. I love the cover. It lets you carry it on you back. It can't get lost! Although, I wish it were 2 or 3 inches bigger in diameter.

1 out of 5 stars Think twice before buying this umbrella.   May 23, 2008
I've owned this umbrella for approx. six months. I have not used it in unusually bad weather. Here are three, major, problems I have had with it: (1) after using it only a few times, the arm began, spontaneously, popping open - without me pushing the open button, (2) there are two "belts", which have velcro, to hold the umbrella closed; the velcro on one of the "belts" came loose, rendering that "belt" useless,(3) one of the arms in the body of the umbrella lost its hinge so that when the umbrella is open, that section hangs limp. I had purchased low-cost umbrellas all my life and never had this many problems with any of them. I thought, by purchasing this higher-quality umbrella, it would last for years without issue. This hasn't been the case. I am going to return the umbrella to the seller and, reluctantly, pay the, outrageous, $10 return fee. If, for any reason, I have an issue with the seller's return process or the new umbrella, I will write another review.

3 out of 5 stars disappointed   February 26, 2008
It was great in the windy, rainy days in NYC ... until it broke. I've had it for under 2 years and for the price I paid I expected it to be a better, sturdier product.

1 out of 5 stars The single worst product (of any type) I've ever bought   December 13, 2007
I researched this, saw the great reviews, and had it for ONE day, in a moderate/light breeze, and it flat-out fell apart - holes through the spokes, ripped seam, useless. I mean, this is worse than the $5 umbrellas you can buy on the streets of NYC. Your mileage may vary, but this is my honest experience.

5 out of 5 stars If you have to be in the rain....   January 6, 2007

This is your umbrella. It does the very most a compact umbrella can do. Very sturdy, easy to manage, pops up without fail at the push of a button. Living and walking in NYC you need a good, depedable umbrella and this one has not disppointed. It would be nice to have a few different color choices than the basics. But it is what it is a non-nonsense great umbrella! Leave the flashy patterns for the others to decorate the sidewalk.
