SWIGZ Endurance Dual Hydration Sports Bottle December 26, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The idea behind this product is great: One bottle for two types of drinks. So you can have water to wash down gels, and a sports drink for the in between nutrition. However, the engineering rubber doesn't meet the road. The bottle is made out of a very hard plastic, so it's not a squeeze bottle but more a bottle that will drain if that makes sense. The cap doesn't fit tight enough against the bottle so as the other reviewer said, you will end up getting both types of drinks in the same gulp. In fairness, water and Gatorade is OK. The bottle probably needs some sort of gasket material that wraps all of the edges. The cap is color coded, but I usually have to thread it on a couple of times to get red with red. A few modifications could turn this good idea into a winner.
Poorly constructed November 20, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I was hoping my women's health magazine article would lead me to a great new water bottle. This bottle was featured for it's dual hydration chambers...unfortunately those chambers spill out the sides of the lid, because the inside of the lid itself is just a flat smooth surface. Yes it does have two spouts, but no barriers to enclose the two chambers separtely at the top. So if you fill your bottle with two different drinks...you will literally end up drinking both and once, and probably spilling plenty on your shirt.
